Faculty & Staff

Trinity has very dedicated teachers and administrators.  Several have been here for over 20 years, pointing to their dedication to Trinity and the enjoyment that each teacher receives in working here.  Each one uses his or her gifts and talents daily to teach, guide and nurture every student who attends Trinity.  A group of three gentlemen chaplains leads our daily chapel service.  The chaplains are all volunteers, each has had children graduate from Trinity, and we are blessed by their time with us and their commitment to our school.

MRS. TERRI LONG
Principal

I was the 5th and 6th grade teacher at Trinity for nineteen years, and am now blessed to serve as principal of this unique school. I taught my two sons at home and I realized that I loved opening children's minds to the wonders of God's world. I love to crochet, hike, cook, sew, read, and go 4x4 wheeling and camping every chance I get.  Two of my grandchildren attended Trinity for three years and have very fond memories of their time here.

MRS. TINA DRAPPO
Office Administrator & Accountant

I have been at Trinity since 1999. I enjoy being outdoors, running, kayaking or just walking our dog, Kona. In 1989 I met the founders of Trinity, Dr. and Mrs. C. Truman Davis, and I was taken aback with their love for our Lord and their overwhelming desire to see that children could come to Trinity and receive a sound academic education with Biblicial principles.

5th & 6th Grades

I am new to Trinity Christian School and excited to see what this new chapter holds.  The culture of our small school is truly delightful, and I am so grateful for the opportunity to work here!  I possess a BA in Psychology from Truman State University, as well as an MA in Counseling from Covenant Theological Seminary.  I worked as a guidance counselor in four different public schools in the St. Louis metro, and then stepped away from that to homeschool my own children over the past nine years.  In that time, we have moved across the country three times, and are very thankful to now call this beautiful desert our home!

Latin & Spanish

I am an ardent supporter of Christian education and have been affiliated with Christian and home schools as a student, parent and teacher for over thirty years. Our youngest child is starting his fourth year at Trinity Christian School. We love that each day starts with chapel and that parents and siblings are always welcome to join this very special part of the day.

MRS. ANNMARIA SIMPSON
Physical Education

I am a TCS alumnus. My family moved to Arizona when I was in the second grade, and I graduated with all boys in my eighth grade class at TCS. Throughout my high school years, I was able to give back to TCS as a classroom helper with the first grade students. There has been someone from my family working at or attending TCS continually since we became affiliated with the school in 1980, and currently my own children have been blessed to participate in several of the homeschool options that TCS offers. As the P.E. teacher, I am blessed to witness students developing skills that the Lord can use for His glory and to further His kingdom. Teaching P.E. here at TCS truly brings me joy!

MR. MARK SEDERSTROM
Headmaster

With a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Master's degree in Environmental Technology, and a career spanning four decades working in the Aerospace industry, I feel truly blessed for how the Holy Spirit works within me to create a desire and opportunity to support Trinity Christian School.   My two youngest children attended and graduated from TCS, and I have had two granddaughters graduate from the school while the youngest currently attends. During the past 20 years, my involvement with TCS has progressively grown and now includes spearheading the monthly work parties (the maintenance of the facility is done mostly by parents and volunteers), volunteering my time as a Chaplain for the daily Chapel service, working weekly with the young men who are readers for the Chapel service, becoming a Board member of the Trinity Foundation that oversees TCS, and finally moving into the position of acting Headmaster for TCS.  While that might seem like a large amount of volunteer activity, it is actually a reflection of the love and commitment transformed within me for Trinity Christian School - - this is a love that is a blessing to me, my family, and so many others who are able to share in the experience of this wonderful school.

MRS. ANNE DEVERMANN
Kindergarten, Spanish & Art

I began teaching at Trinity in the late 1970's as a teacher aide, and except for a few years, I have worked in varying capacities including substitute teacher and office personnel. I teach homeroom subjects to kindergarten students, Spanish for K-3rd and Art for K-2nd grades.

MRS. EMILY STERN
3rd & 4th Grades, Music Education and Chapel Organist

My teaching career began in Virginia where I taught kindergarten as well as elementary art, and junior high and high school art and music. While on the East Coast, I also developed a phonics program and workbook that was published.

My family moved to Mesa in 1981 to be involved in Trinity, and over the years I have at various times taught 1st grade, 4th grade, 4th-8th grade English, vocabulary, science, history, music, art and P.E. I am also the organist for the daily chapel service.

My education includes Indiana University, Northern Virginia Community College, Mesa Community College, Ottawa University, Lemerit Education and Emergency Management.

I enjoy the challenge of being a servant of our Lord in everyday service, and I am blessed by watching children blossom and grow in a Godly school.
